Hilda, Rediscovered.

She definitely has seen this pin-up posters and calendars around in her grandfather's home as a kid. It brought back too many memories of what was displayed in his kitchen (yes, he used to cook with passion) of cheeky Hilda and her larger-than-large bottom which was the signature artistic style created by artist Duane Bryers. Buxomly and red-haired, the icon of long ago which was no longer desired in today's calendar babes with stick figures, Hilda made a difference in the 50s (or maybe in the 60s) when full (pun intended) perfection was desired, and much sought after. She had full bosom, full belly, even fuller bottom and thighs. Even Hilda's face was fully freckled with a fullness of lips.

So whatever happened to the celebration of womanly's curvatures? When and how did a full figure turned into "obesity" in just a few decades?

Celebrate and rejoice if you are a Hilda, whether within or outward. Read, paint, swim, cycle, climb a ladder, climb a tree, all with the same cheeky smiles you see in the posters! Hilda, in her opinion, truly embraced LIFE!
