Last week, two families found reptiles lazing about in unexpected places.
In one case, Muhammad Hakim Amran, 11, spotted a monitor lizard in
the lift lobby of a Yishun HDB block. He ran back to his second-storey
flat to tell his four siblings and they dashed downstairs to see the
rare sight.
The reptile was about a metre from the lift on the first storey of Block 810 Yishun Ring Road. It was about 1.5m long..
In another case, Housewife Helen Koh, 58, and her family were shocked
at the sight of baby snakes in the backyard of their Sembawang home.
Seven snake eggs were later found in a tree trunk in their backyard.
