The Best Things In Life Are Free

Lil one did this during her snack time in school.

"...worth melting for", indeed, in the words of OLAF...

Meals and More Meals

If there was a good excuse to binge herself silly, it's during the month of April, only. Don't get her wrong. She loves food, just in a right portions. With 6 lunches and 2 dinners within a week, she is ready to attack her next main tonight, with someone silly and goofy just like her; they have been friends for over two decades, and will continue to be so.

If she ever gets Alzheimer's someday, this will serve as a memory on what she had had and why age never mattered. Okay, she would admit that age maybe does matter. But only in the sleep-bug department. Everything else remains pretty status quo, whether she is turning 38, or not.

She told her friends and family that no she needed no gifts, and would rather they pay for the meals and yak the lunch/dinner away. Here was what she stuffed down her throats thus far...

-sushi tei (the clique that would always insist on this, because they have never ending vouchers)
-wang's (lovely for a quickie lunch)
-mad for garlic (goodness in that yucky garlic!)
-astons (think "beef")
-mutton soup in hot and stuffy kopitiam, but completely worth the while, since they are a pair of inseparable turtle doves
-bangkok jam (sour+spice and everything nice)
-skinny pizza (dined with her bff, the one who eats less than half of what she eats, which is like 1/8 of any ordinary peep)
-samy's fish head (one and only companion for this meal)

For someone so used to the regular chicken rice and wanton mee, the meals were lavish (and somewhat unnecessary, although those who paid insisted otherwise). They made her feel blessed and loved. But a birthday without lavish meals is her ultimate aim. She just does not know how to get that message across.

The gifts she has received? Oh the GIFTS SHE HAS RECEIVED!!!!

Loved them all, and she counts her blessings for her friends.

To everyone, "38 is a great way to be!!"

BBQ fun!

She loves to write, but doesn't like to plaster her face everywhere. But she figured no one will figure who is who and so, here goes. Good fun, great company, all in the name of friendship. After the guard politely chased them away because of the hardly-existent noise (read: melodious laughter) the residents claimed they made, they adjourned to Prive Cafe, where they rattled and chatted on until they needed picks for their eyes....

Bacon & Booze

Right at the end of punggol near the jetty, nestled inside Gallop Stable where she brought the little ones for the horse rides is a cafe and pub, Bacon & Booze. The bacon lovers will find their favorite strips in rolls, wraps and sausages. Not her cuppa, so she passed on the food with the kids and returned yesternight with The Husband for a drink, to enjoy the coolness of the breeze in the stillness of the night.

They yakked incessantly. Spoke about life in general. And such are the little dates they have always looked forward to especially during the weekends when work is not bugging the back of their heads. They sang a little with the music from the cafe, and they went a little berserk with some cam-whoring, thinking (and believing!) that they were 25 again. What bliss when the little kiddos were fast snoring in their beds and the things their parents were up to, if only they would someday find out; the heavy suppers, lousy movies, intoxicated drinks and even some night-over getaways.... And thank goodness for Minah who ensured safety at home while they often frolicked away.

Lovey-dovey face shots cannot be meant for public eyes, for they are after all from another generation where people behaved (do they still?) in a prim and proper manners (she *rolls eyes*), but she managed to sneak a solo shot out. This might be the first, last and only shot of herself she was willing to display, and it was only because she was already under the table by then.

It's the ghost month, she knows. So be prepared to be frightened by the TheFaceWithoutAnyMakeup.

^.^

Bacon & Booze opening hours:

Prive Cafe and Bar

They were at another chill-out venue but had to leave because it was too noisy and smelly (yes, downright yucky SMELLY!!) and landed in Prive where the cafe was still opened, (yay!) and so they sat in the bar enjoying the breeze of the marina and peep watch.  Don't ask why the latte and choco. There were from the cafe. Nobody came to ask thereafter about the cocktails, so they let 'em pass...

bliss.on.a.lovely.saturday.evening.

Twelve Cupcakes - Mini-fied!

Already a huge fan of their regular sized Red Velvet and Cookies and Cream cuppies, she hopes to get lucky this evening with them again this evening when she grabs them, mini-fied!
