Meals and More Meals

If there was a good excuse to binge herself silly, it's during the month of April, only. Don't get her wrong. She loves food, just in a right portions. With 6 lunches and 2 dinners within a week, she is ready to attack her next main tonight, with someone silly and goofy just like her; they have been friends for over two decades, and will continue to be so.

If she ever gets Alzheimer's someday, this will serve as a memory on what she had had and why age never mattered. Okay, she would admit that age maybe does matter. But only in the sleep-bug department. Everything else remains pretty status quo, whether she is turning 38, or not.

She told her friends and family that no she needed no gifts, and would rather they pay for the meals and yak the lunch/dinner away. Here was what she stuffed down her throats thus far...

-sushi tei (the clique that would always insist on this, because they have never ending vouchers)
-wang's (lovely for a quickie lunch)
-mad for garlic (goodness in that yucky garlic!)
-astons (think "beef")
-mutton soup in hot and stuffy kopitiam, but completely worth the while, since they are a pair of inseparable turtle doves
-bangkok jam (sour+spice and everything nice)
-skinny pizza (dined with her bff, the one who eats less than half of what she eats, which is like 1/8 of any ordinary peep)
-samy's fish head (one and only companion for this meal)

For someone so used to the regular chicken rice and wanton mee, the meals were lavish (and somewhat unnecessary, although those who paid insisted otherwise). They made her feel blessed and loved. But a birthday without lavish meals is her ultimate aim. She just does not know how to get that message across.

The gifts she has received? Oh the GIFTS SHE HAS RECEIVED!!!!

Loved them all, and she counts her blessings for her friends.

To everyone, "38 is a great way to be!!"
